KANSAS CITY — The Yankees are in the midst of a six-game road trip to Kansas City today and to Boston on Friday, and manager Aaron Boone provided injury updates to the media.

  1. Giancarlo Stanton:

Stanton went 3–8 with a walk over the past two days of his rehab assignment. The Yankees will talk between now and end of day tomorrow to figure out if Stanton will need more rehab games, or if he can join the team in Boston.

2. Marcus Stroman:

Stroman started game one of the Patriots double header, surrendering one run, one hit and two walks, with four strikeouts over 3.1 innings of work.

After his start, Stroman told reporters “I’m just looking to get back to 100%, which I feel pretty close, build my pitch count and just kind of take it from there.” Stroman added that he is “very open to whatever it may be”, when talking about his role. The Yankees are building him up as a starter.

3. Luke Weaver:

Luke Weaver thew his second bullpen since being placed on the IL with a hamstring strain. Today’s bullpen was more intense and he said he feels “great” with no discomfort. Weaver looks to be on track to be back before the four to six week timetable provided, but Manager Aaron Boone does not want to rush him back, given his importance.

4. Jake Cousins:

Cousins has a UCL injury, but is still gathering second oppinions, according to Aaron Boone. More news to come on Cousins.
