The Yankees offense had two big innings, the third and the fourth. The third feature a game-tying three-run homer by Bellinger o give the Yankees some life. Then, the Yankees benefited by two Rays errors in the fourth inning to score three more runs. After getting retired in order (11-straight), Anthony Volpe hit an absolute bomb for a homer and his second RBI of the night.

Starting Pitching Analysis
Max Fried was not sharp to start his outing but his breaking pitches got sharper as the outing went on, totaling nine strikeouts. Fried ended up giving the Yankees some length, pitching into the seventh inning.
Bullpen Usage
Loaisiga was the first out of the ‘pen and got a 3-3 groundout to end the seventh. Then, Boone left Lo’ in the game and he put runners on first and second, no outs before getting a 6-4-3 DP and a foul out to McMahon to hold the score. Williams came out for the ninth inning, and gave up one run after a triple and a 5-4 GO. Williams got squeezed by the up and screwed by Volpe committing his second error of the night. Williams could not locate the fastball, but was able to get Aranda to swing at it to strike out and end the game.
