Here are the latest on all the MLB Trade Deadline buzz:

  • The Athletics will not trade Mason Miller. Teams have been calling in recent weeks, believing that they could turn Miller into a starter but the A’s understandably won’t deal him this year.

  • The St. Louis Cardinals are considering trading closer Ryan Helsley. Bob Nightingale reports that at least five contenders have shown interest in the closer.

  • The Cleveland Guardians expect to keep closer Emanuel Clase, despite the growing speculation on a potential trade.

  • The Twins are expected to keep Joe Ryan, but will listen to offers. If made available, Ryan could be the most valuable starter to be delt this deadline. The price tag will also be high.

  • The Yankees would love to acquire one of Zac Gallen or Merrill Kelly at the deadline. They have had scouts in Arizona looking at the players for weeks. The Yankees are also keeping their eyes on Eugenio Suárez.

  • The Mariners and Cubs also remain interested in Eugenio Suárez.

  • The Yankees have been in regular contact with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Jon Heyman of the NY Post lists Ke’Bryan Hayes, David Bednar, Dennis Santana and Isaiah Kinner-Faleffa as players who interest the Yankees.

  • The Red Sox are also scouting Zac Gallen or Merrill Kelly in their quest to find a starting pitcher.
