ATLANTA — Here’s the latest: Jazz Chisholm Jr. has officially been named one of the eight sluggers competing in the 2025 T‑Mobile Home Run Derby, set for Monday, July 14 at Truist Park in Atlanta. The Yankees’ electrifying second baseman has hit 17 homers already this season, including a monster 442‑foot blast on March 29 and a 110.9 mph shot just last night. Chisholm has even mentioned he’d bring his stepfather, Geron Sands, to pitch to him if selected—keeping it close to home for his Derby round.

His blistering power surge, following a return from oblique surgery in June (.315 average, .614 SLG in June), earned him the nod, and he’s expressed genuine excitement about the opportunity.

Anticipate fireworks when Chisholm steps into the cage — a high-energy slugger ready to light up the Derby stage.

The only thing Yankee fans should be concerned about is Jazz’s injury history potentially impacting his second half on field performance.
