THE BRONX, NY — Instant Reaction to the Yankees clean and easy 6-1 win over the Orioles, improving to 93-68 on the season and a season-high seven-game winning streak.

  • Cam Schlittler worked a scoreless first around a two-out walk to Gunnar Henderson.

  • The Yankees got the scoring started first on a two-out solo home run by Aaron Judge, his 53rd of the season, where he continues to solidify his MVP case.

  • After Schlittler worked a 1-2-3 second inning, Giancarlo Stanton lead off the second inning with his third home run in the past 24 hours, launching a ball into the RF bleachers.

  • After Sugano got the next two batters out, Ryan McMahon stepped up and hit his fourth homer in pinstripes, giving the Yankees a 3-0 lead. It was McMahon’s 20th of the season, with sixteen coming from his time in Colorado.

  • Cam Schlittler then worked another 1-2-3 inning in the third, with another strikeout.

  • The Yankees would go down 1-2-3 in the third inning, though Judge drove another ball to the track.

  • Cam Schlittler pitched a scoreless fourth inning, though he allowed his first hit of the game, a one-out double to Yankee Killer Gunnar Henderson.

  • Cody Bellinger lead off the fourth inning with a single, but the Yankees were unable to score as Stanton struck out, and both Chishom Jr. and Goldschmidt lined out sharply to right.

  • Cam Schlittler worked a scoreless fifth inning, but he hit two batters, one to lead off the inning and the last with two outs. Schlittler got out of trouble by getting Holliday to ground out and end the threat.

  • The Yankees gave themselves some breathing room in the fifth inning, after loading the bases with one out for Judge. After Aaron Boone got ejected for an MLB-Leading seventh time, Judge would hit an RBI single to center, scoring two more runs. Bellinger would follow up with a sac fly on the next pitch. After a Stanton walk and a Jazz got hit on the forearm, and was taken out of the game, Goldschmidt grounded out to end the inning with the bases loaded.

  • After his sixth inning strikeout, Anthony Volpe is now one for his last fourteen.

  • Cam Schlittler’s Final Line:

    • 7 IP | 2 H | 0 R/ER | 1 BB | 9 K | 97-63 P/S | 2.96 ERA

  • Paul Blackburn was out of the bullpen, and yielded a solo homer to lead off the eighth inning to Colby Mayo, but settled in to get the final six outs.
