Luis Gil (High-Grade Lat Strain) faced live hitters today for the first time since being shut down in spring training. Gil threw about 20 pitches and said he’s encouraged by how his rehab is going and how he feels. Today, he wasn’t focused on velocity but might have been 95–96.
Yerry De Los Santos was having trouble extending his elbow during his last outing (Wednesday), and is undergoing further testing. No further updates provided.
The Yankees Placed LHP Ryan Yarbrough on the 15-day injured list (retroactive to 6/20) with a low-grade right oblique strain. No timeline yet, but it’ll be symptom based.
