Takeaways

The Offense

The Yankees struggled off another lefty, this time Iminaga. He was dominant throughout his outing. Giancarlo Stanton was the Yankees offense in the second inning, hitting a solo home run.

Starting Pitching Analysis

Will Warren was all over the place today, and there was a lot of traffic on base, but he only gave up two runs in five and a third innings.

Bullpen Usage

Ian Hamilton was the first out and the second pitch he threw was a go-ahead two-run home run to Dansby Swanson. A sole crusher. Then, Tim Hill got two quick outs before a double by Suzuki and a infield single to Volpe from PCA. It looked like Volpe hesitated on the throw to first, costing the Yankees an out and a run. Weaver came in after that with a runner on first and two outs and got a first pitch flyout. He then pitched a scoreless eighth inning
