Takeaways

The Offense

The Yankees offense exploaded today, scoring 12 runs. 5 of the runs were from Jazz Chisholm Jr., who took Severino deep in the second to give the Yankees the lead, and then with the bases loaded, he hit an RBI triple to center, scoring three more runs and scored on a wild pitch as well. Judge had two, two-run home runs and Bellinger had a three-run home run as well.

Starting Pitching Analysis

Marcus Stroman was verry good today, allowing just one run over five innings of work, with some help from his defense behind him. Overall, he kept the Yankees in the game and thats all we can ask for.

Bullpen Usage

JT Brubaker was first out and he stunk up the house. He surrendered four runs in one third of an inning before getting pulled. Jonathan Loáisiga came in to mop up Brubaker’s mess and did his job. Hill, Hamilton and Weaver all worked clean innings to get the Yankees to the win.
